This blog is posted by "Elijah's Table," a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration (1 Hood Road, Derry, NH) and Etz Hayim Synagogue (1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry, NH), both located on Hood Road in Derry, NH. Twice a month we provide free, family-friendly dinners, which are served in a relaxed atmosphere. There are other organizations in the Derry, New Hampshire area that also offer free and delicious meals to the public. Please see the calendar on the right-hand side of this blog for a list of upcoming meals. And don't forget the offerings of the Sonshine Soup Kitchen (described on the left-hand side of this blog) and The Derry Salvation Army!

From Lowell with Love

I learned tonight that two of our church partners are actually from Lowell. They came tonight, in the snow and ice, with a pile of hot sweet potatoes. Now, that's love! The sweet potatoes were terrific with the salmon, spinach salad, cheesy broccoli, pasta with sage and butter, and home-made chocolate and vanilla cakes. Below are some highlights of the evening: "Woman with Stylin' Holiday Hair," "Christmas Sweater Time," "Good Friends," "Ladies at Piano," "Loving Couple," and "Clementines." SEE YOU NEXT TIME!

Brain Food on the 16th

Please join us this coming Sunday the 16th. We'll be having a special holiday meal with salmon as part of the main course. There will be fresh veggies and dessert, of course. Let's celebrate this holiday season together! By the way, the picture is from the romantic comedy, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. Very charming!
