This blog is posted by "Elijah's Table," a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration (1 Hood Road, Derry, NH) and Etz Hayim Synagogue (1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry, NH), both located on Hood Road in Derry, NH. Twice a month we provide free, family-friendly dinners, which are served in a relaxed atmosphere. There are other organizations in the Derry, New Hampshire area that also offer free and delicious meals to the public. Please see the calendar on the right-hand side of this blog for a list of upcoming meals. And don't forget the offerings of the Sonshine Soup Kitchen (described on the left-hand side of this blog) and The Derry Salvation Army!

"Gobble, gobble, gobble, I love Thanksgiving Day!"

It's the Sunday before Thanksgiving, and we have lots to be grateful for. Good friends, a warm and cozy environment, and plenty of "comfort food" (including baked potatoes with sour cream and apple pie). We raffled off some Kooky Cookies, hand-made by one of our helpers, and chocolate turkeys. Please join us next time.

Kooky Cookies

One of our young helpers has decided to sell cookies to raise money to help fund our Elijah's Table dinners. This week, she is selling VERY adorable and yummy turkey-shaped cookies.  You just want to "gobble" them up.
See you guys on Sunday, November 18 for another fantastic (and free) dinner!  Maybe there will be a kooky cookie...or information on how to get one.
