This blog is posted by "Elijah's Table," a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration (1 Hood Road, Derry, NH) and Etz Hayim Synagogue (1-1/2 Hood Road, Derry, NH), both located on Hood Road in Derry, NH. Twice a month we provide free, family-friendly dinners, which are served in a relaxed atmosphere. There are other organizations in the Derry, New Hampshire area that also offer free and delicious meals to the public. Please see the calendar on the right-hand side of this blog for a list of upcoming meals. And don't forget the offerings of the Sonshine Soup Kitchen (described on the left-hand side of this blog) and The Derry Salvation Army!

Pianos, Pumpkins, and Pineapple

What a fabulous evening we had! Live music courtesy of "Piano Keys Studio," a music school in Raymond; pumpkin spice and chocolate leaf cupcakes, hand-made by some of our teenage volunteers; pineapple upside-down cake; and some delicious main courses -- including a stir fry we are experimenting with. Some of the kids decorated the tables with beautiful red autumn leaves. We had a lot of guests, and the energy was high. We'll see you next time. Upcoming dates for Elijah's Table dinners (5:00-6:30): 11/10/13-- Dinner at the Church of the Transfiguration; 12/08/13-Dinner at the Church of the Transfiguration; and 12/15/13-Dinner at Etz Hayim Synagogue.
